Football Frenzy In Edmonton!

Saturday, November 27th, 2010

The Grey Cup festivities are in full swing in Edmonton, Alberta right now! The city has designed an exciting venue outside with “mini” football games, the option to repel across city square, live music and more. This year the Saskatchewan RoughRiders and the Montreal Alouettes will compete against one another for the title of the 2010, 98th Grey Cup Championship. With any major sports event though comes along with it insane fans and the most craziest get-ups (outfits) that you can possibly imagine.

Today I saw people with green hair wigs, green twinkling star shaped glasses, and even people with plastic hats that resemble wheat fields (called wheat heads) – can you guess what fans these are? Thats right the Saskatchewan rough riders! I really think Edmonton now has the entire province of saskatchewan visiting our city right now.

Water Submersed Centrepieces

Tuesday, November 23rd, 2010

There is something so simple and beautiful about flowers submersed in a vase of water. Or even better, is when there is a “tablescape” or a landscape of numerous vase sizes and types of flowers arranged in a cluster ( or landscape formation) amongst the table.

It is a great alternative to more “traditional” floral arrangements for numerous reasons. The main reason is usually price because even though the “individual” flower may be more expensive – it is a lot more cost affordable then a typical floral arrangement.

Inspire yourself with the essence and beauty of these designs:

Sunday, November 14th, 2010

Christmas is fast approaching and with it comes event invitations, parties, dinners and spending time with family and friends. Creating the right atmosphere for your guests to experience can also be half the fun.

We  love finding decor idea’s that other people come up with and experimenting to create our own style of event decor.

Enjoy!
